Hi, I have a zanussi ZWF1220W, it wasn’t draining properly so I cleaned the filter at the bottom right of the front of the machine – full of junk! I cleaned the filter and screwed back in but now it’s leaking everywhere. Any help would be appreciated thank you!

Have a closer look at the filter chamber(using a torch is best) as there may be something at the back preventing it from seating correctly. Do not over tighten as that can break the filter chamber quite easily.

Also if its got a water drain pipe next to the filter check its not pulled off the pump housing.

Thanks Martin, the chamber looks ok and it fits in flush – how do I get to the drain pipe is it accessible under the machine? Can’t lift it on my own so will need to get some help, thanks

Tip the machine backwards enough to look underneath ( power off advisable) and the little grey plastic tube should be attached to the side of the filter body. If not then simply push it back on!

Thank you! I’ve got a feeling that’s what it is as that’s where the water appears to be coming from. Just need to get some help lifting it up now!
