Hello wonderful world of UK Whitegoods Gurus!
I’ve got an Indesit WIDL146DE (I believe the DE = German model, therefore mechanically/electrically identical to all other WIDL146’s).
One fine day, it tripped the mains fuse for the house. I flipped the mains fuse back on, and it was stuck in cycle. I reset it (held the start button) to clear the programme, then started it again. It got stuck in a draining cycle, spinning and trying to drain.
I took the drain filter apart, cleaned out a coin and hairgrip, then selected a water cycle and it wouldn’t start (door locks, nothing else happens).
There are no ‘fault code’ lights flashing. When on a dry cycle, it spins up the dryer (and the drum spins too). When I select a spin cycle it works too. When I select a water based cycle, it locks the door and does nothing.
I have replaced the inlet valve, and it still doesn’t work. Water pressure is good, new inlet valve (so assumed to be good).. any other suggestions? I suspect the answer lies in whatever originally tripped the mains fuse.
So, what could trip a mains fuse (heater?) but prevent the washing machine from filling with water, and not be the inlet valve? Main circuit board??
Thank you in advance!!
Christoph
