    My smeg oven trips the house RCD about 5 mins after turning it on. If I reset the RCD and switch the oven back on, it works OK. The same thing happens when I turn up the temperature on the oven.

    one of the elements has an earth fault. you have to work out which one does it ie grill or oven element
