Set on 60 degree wash fills and has motor action runs for a while then resets to 140 minutes, have read other threads on this machine which all seem to relate to element problems. So have insulation tested dryer and wash elements and are ok. Diagnostivcs show e52 (tacho problem no signal received) yet motor seems to run ok with no erratic problems. This fault code did not show up yesterday? Customer doesn’t now how long it runs for before it stops as they set it and go out. And seen as they can only attend during there dinner break it doesn’t give me much time to have a good look, in two minds weather to kick the job into touch because of there inflexibility.
    Any help appreciated
    Darren

E52 points to motor failure, i’ve had some of these go open circuit with the over temp’ t.o.c thats built in in the coil of the motor cutting out. Thing to look out for is if it completes short programmes o.k but cuts out on longer cycles, or on the second time its used without cooling down. Might just need the armature reseated & brushes changed.

Hmmm? Tricky one Darren given the circumstances as to access times and such. I wouldn’t shed too much thought into the E52 diagnostics report TBH but concentrate on the fact that the prog resets is more the issue here I would think?

For your customer to leave the house whilst the machine is working knowing there is a fault is a serious crime of neglect in the extreme. If they can’t be home and monitor the machine closely in order to assist your diagnosis in some way that’s their problem.

Any electrical circuit interference can cause the prog to reset especially earth leaks. Also door interlock connectors burning out can give this fault.

    HTH? 😀

Thanks for the input Seamy and Martin. Will give them a call but will only attend on my terms. Lol. and yes i warned them about running the machine whilst not being in attendance.
