ParticipantHi, The grill on my Indesit gets to temperature then cuts out and wont properly reheat after! I suspect its the thermostat but does anyone know where it is located? perhaps there is a service manual for this model?
Thanks Carl.

PS i think the model number in the subject is wrong, I cant find the number on my unit so i used google images but after closer inspection noticed that the model i found is very close to mine but the controls work slightly differently so mine will be an older model to that. I suspect the thermostat to be similar though.

First of all THIS will answer your question re service manuals.
That is a recognised model number BTW.
It sounds as though the the grill regulator is faulty.
Sadly the official parts identification software that the Indesit Company charge the trade around £70 every six months to use does not show any of the regulators on the diagram or in the parts list, only the oven stat. :con: Is the grill controlled by the same switch as the main oven?

Yes i think it is iadom, there are 2 controls one on the left controls ovan temp until you pass the 8 o clock position it then clicks to a position that turns on the grill. The right hand control controls the grill temp, when turned on the grill initially comes on, it then cuts out and sometimes when i fiddle with the temp control it reheats for seconds before cutting out again!

Hmmm, if the main oven functions correctly then it suggests the thermostat is OK.It is more likely to be a bad contact inside the oven selector switch TBH.
Both parts not that expensive.
Control switch is a C00084790 around £23
Oven stat is a C00145486 approx £17An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should get you sorted.

Thanks for your reply
I just tested it now and what happened is.. I turned on the grill with the left switch and turned the right switch to max, it heated up for 5 minutes and cut out as though up to temp, it then cuts back in after 5 minutes and so on..
This looks more likely temp control related does it not? Also worth noting is when the grill has cut out I try turning the grill switch off and back on with nothing happening.

I would think that the main oven stat is OK if the main oven performs correctly .
The parts diagram appears to show another ‘overheat’ stat but as I have no access to wiring diagrams I cannot tell if this would cause the grill to cut out.

Ok thanks for your help, I found that overheat stat on espares so I will locate it inside my oven and route all wiring too and from. Thanks again. -
