Hello
I have a Kelvinator KCD 13/11 frost free fridge freezer…..unfortunately it’s no longer frost free,the freezer compartment has a thin layer of ice on the rear wall while the fridge has ice all down the left rear corner.
Before I scrap it I thought I’d take a quick look round the back to see if there was anything obvious.
I found the plastic drip tray above the compressor has no bottom in it,looks like the heat from the compressor has burnt right thru it.
Is this because the compressor is running continuously and is overheating ?
There is a small damp patch under the appliance which I assume is because the tray isn’t doing it’s job.
