I am trying to find a replacement fan (used will do). The existing one makes a screaming noise for about 30 seconds before it starts to run normally. Sometimes, it won’t run at all – any ideas anyone?

Probably a new hood in all honesty given the price of some of the motors for them 😯

Could you double check the model number please from the rating plate inside the hood as I can’t find that one listed, unless it’s an old model of course.

I’ll try and price the motor for you then.

    Dave.

    HI Peter

Not looking too good i’m afraid that hood is at least 14 years old
as it went obsolete in 1991 so i’m guessing more like 15-16 years old.

It was made by an italian company called Gold System (now Fox Arrado i think). ❓

The original part number for this hood is 311.31.006.0 Motor Type 2 VP27.

If you ring Caremark they may just have one or two lying around but don’t hold your breath.

I would actually recommend buying a new hood to be honest it’s probably cheaper than buying a motor. 40 quid in Comet

    Regards

    Woz
