    Hi,

    I’ve got a WDF740G that is a couple of years old.

    The washer / dryer is not heating or drying during the cycle.

    I understand that it could be the heating element but I’m unsure if theres a seperate element for each function, ie one for heating one for drying.

    Also if both are not working could it be a thermostat.

    I’ve not noticed any fault codes but I’m unsure on how to get them to show?

    Any help much appreciated.

    Separate heaters for wash and dry. A faulty dryer element will not give an error code.

    Only way forward is to pull the mains plug and test the element and safety cut out.

    To be brutally honest, if you have to ask that question then I respectfully suggest you let someone with the correct knowledge look at your machine.
