KeymasterHi guys,
You all helped me before when I had a problem with this bloody washing machine, hopefully you will be able to again!
This time I have an FE error code…
It seems that during the spinning cycle a slow flow of hot water flows through the draw and into the drum… at first I thought it was a pump blockage as all the clothes were wet at the end of the cycle. But I checked that out and I am £1.70 richer from my finds in the filter, but it has not solved my problem! I have to keep switching off the hot tap and re-spinning!
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Charlie

ParticipantCharlie,
Check whether you have a hot water fill all the time or only on the spin sequence. The former would indicate a weeping valve, the latter a problem with the electronics.Regards,

this fault will be caused by 2 parts normally and the most likely one lies within the hot water valve or cold water valve seeping and allowing water into the machine when switched off.
if the machine does not fill when switched off for 2 days then the fault would normally be the main PCB alowing current to the valve.
hope this helps

Hi guys,
Thanks for the reponses.
The water does not flow if the machine is switched off. I check to see if the water flows only on spin…
if it is electronics, is there a way of defaulting it? or reseting it??
Thanks again
Charlie

Sorry but if the water is passing through the valve due to electric current going to the valve during spin then you oly have 1 option and that is a new PCB.
the part number for this is a choice of 3 (they are all the same pcb )
6871EC1024R OR 6871EC1024D OR 6871EC1077D
I have one these in stock
hope this helps

Hi Charlie,
It is a characteristic of this machine. When on Final spin it will open the valve and fill with water but only for a few seconds. This is normal. You have checked the filter but i would have a closer look at the impellor in the filter housing at the back. Switch off at mains then tilt the machine back then open the filter and carefully with a screwdriver try to turn the green impellor at the back. It is common to get things caught in these. As for the error code FE this is not listed in the service manual.
Hope this helpsSparkyp

Hi Charlie again,
After much searching i have the code for the FE display error. It means that the water overfills due to the faulty water valve.Hope this helps
