    I have a Bosch Exxel 1000 washing machine about 8 years old. (WF02064GB, 01 FD 8602 601162).

It goes through a wash but doesn’t do the final spin. What could be wrong?

It’s possible the previous spins didn’t take place but I didn’t observe them.

When I put it direct on to the Spin Only programme, the pump starts up, then after a minute the drum makes a few slow turns. There’s a very faint scratchy sound too. After a minute or two of the drum turning slowly, everything stops as if the programme has ended. No actual spinning has taken place. At the end of it all the digital display still shows the same time remaining (11 minutes) as when the programme started.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

Hiya KWatt. Thank you very much for the info. I’m too ill at the moment to try and fit them myself, so I’ll get a repairman to do it.

I looked at the video and saw how long it took to just replace the brushes. Do you know approximately how long it should take a qualified repairman to do the whole job? (Opening up the washing machine and replacing the brushes. I’m not clear if the motor needs removing.)
