ParticipantIn terms of easy rinsing which detergent format rinses out of the clothes easy powder or liquid format?
This should of been on the Persil thread but decided to write a shorter post.

Wow are you ever stuck on this detergent thing eh, a guilty obsession perhaps? A ‘Soapaholic’ even?
Assuming the machine is functioning as it should, the drain filter is clear and the machine drains rapidly. That the correct amount of liquid or powder on the correct garments and the correct wash cycle then rinsing would never be an issue whatever brand you use. OK?

There should, in theory, be no difference so long as each is dosed correctly.

No I am not obsessed i can assure you.
There are no blockages as i have already mentioned. None in the sump, filter or drain hose yet i end up with foam stuck in the sump. Although the pump drains the water it leaves the foam behind in the sump which makes subsequent rinses foamy. Do you understand what i mean??
There isn’t any water droplets on the door glass even on the last cycle. I can assure everyone who reads this i am dosing correctly and nothing i am doing.
I do have a spare Hotpoint pump and wondered if i could use it on the Bosch? They are pretty universal aren’t they?

TBH I wouldn’t bother but go ahead if you want to though I’m having a little trouble figuring out why? You say your Bosch machine drains yet leaves foam in the sump, changing the pump isn’t going to change that fact. The foam may be from the fabric conditioner if you use it that is? That would explain it and would be of no concern whatsoever.

I thought it was pretty straight forward to be honest!
You know when you wash up and empty the bowl of soapy water, well ever tried getting rid of the suds from Fairy liquid for example? The water drain outs the sink but leaves the foam behind, same thing with the washer. However it did that with the Ariel Excel Gel and not the New ‘Clean and Compact’ Ariel liquid.
I do not like fabric conditioner nor have I used it. Anything I could add to the final rinse water to ‘kill’ the suds? This never used to happen with detergents from the early 90’s from what I remember. They are formulated too foamy these days all because the general public like poxy soap bubbles!

Anyone good ones you can recommend? Would Vinegar work or does that damage the drum?
