Hi I have an Amica AWM712D and it started to fail and would not drain sometimes checked the filter and took out a small inch nail. It worked for a while after that but now now it won’t start shows error code 11 and door will not unlock. Anyone any ideas what to do to fix it. I checked the pump and it reads 203 ohm across the connectors.

    Thanks

    Error code 11 is

‘Washing machine has detected an overfill of water’

Check drain pump for blockage or obstruction
Check drain hose for blockage or obstruction
    Check drain pump
Check fill valve is not jammed open or leaking
    Check electronic control module

Does it power up? Spin? Pump out? Can you send more info

    hope this helps

    Amica AWM712D
My thanks for your reply. The machine shows the error message as soon as I switch it on. It does power up but the error message shows and I get an audio bleep sound and that’s it. It won’t spin or pump or do anything I can’t even open the door to get the washing out, the door locked sign stays lit. I have the back off the machine and there is no blockage in the filter, pump or drain hose. It does not appear to be taking in water or making any noise bar the bleep when I turn it on to any program.
I don’t know how to check the Fill valve or the Control Module.
Any suggestions or tests I could try would be very much appreciated.
I would like to order the correct part first time to fix it, if possible.

    Many Thanks

If your sure there is no blockage and have split the pump, you can take the pump off and check it connect 240v to the pump and test it but please be careful when doing this
as the pump could be dead, to check the water valves you need a multimeter and it should read above 3, on continuity. the door should open after a few mins with the power turned off but im not sure some washing machines don’t open until there is no water in the drum has it still got water in the drum? if it has drain it off and see what happens is the PCB ok worth checking to see if anything is blown, hope this helps 🙂
