Hi there, I have read through many many pages of varying problems with this American style fridge freezer and I am not certain I am finding the exact help I need. I am experiencing the following:

    1. Water dispenser stopped working.
    2. Replaced Water inlet valve
    3. Water worked for one day and then stopped again.
    4. Checked power going to the switch and it was
    5. Looked at the rear electronics control panel and found that a resistor had blown (gone black) it has a code of “R7” next to it and I think it is an 82 Ohm resistor but cannot tell for certain as it is burnt, maybe someone could confirm?
    6. The center strip between the doors is very hot so I looked for fluff everywhere and none really to speak of.
    7. Checked the fan was coming on and it was not coming on without a push to get it started.

So after that lot I have ordered a 82 Ohm resistor and the PCB repair kit from this site. What do you think, am I approaching this correctly?

    With thanks

Also I had a 75 Ohm resistor to hand and replaced the burnt 82 Ohm resistor with the 72 Ohm one. This made the water dispenser come back to life, unfortunately the 72 Ohm resistor was not very happy and glowed!!! So I think I need to wait for the 82 Ohm one to arrive. :rolls:
