    customer informs me that 2 hotplates faulty, when first turned on they heats up stright away, but then goes dead. need to know it the fault related to the hotplates or the energy regulators. thanks John

    if the rings that go off stop as a pair

    could be the links in the terminal block have you checked it ?

    I’d first be looking at the hotplate connectors . They can burn out but stay in contact. They’d be quite obvious once you’d removed the bottom plate.
