    hi there

even though on minimum the fridge is creating ice at the back of the fridge , after chating to ukwhitegoods staff , they recommended to order the item 4360620185 which i did, i fited it today but it’s still doing the same issue , what else could it be ? the sealant seems fine ,could be the small PCB fitted in the thermostat box inside the fridge ? ( i know this fridge doesn’t have a thermostat, but i mean where i change power of the fridge 1,2,3 etc… )
so what i do is switch the fridge off for few hours a day then switch it back on , few weeks ago i forgot to switch back on after 8 hours so then i have switched back on and it was working perfectly for 3 weeks but now the issue is back again
    any help much appreciated

    regards

    Hi Steven,

Yes, we do answer, if any of us can help and do bear in mind that you are in the middle of holiday season and the guys all work for a living. A little patience often doesn’t go amiss.

It could be any number of things and, on that series, that little cheap PCB is a common point of failure it seems but, it won’t always solve the problem. It is hooked up to a thermistor that is foamed in, it cannot be replaced and is not even sold as a spare part. It’s the latest kick from a number of manufacturers including Beko, Bosch, Hoover/Candy and others.

The other possibility is a refrigerant issue but, that’s hard to call remotely without more information.

It’s also possible that the compressor is overheating and cutting out.

But you’d have to root about to try and see what was happening as best you can before any of the guys would be able to help further unless there are any known issues on these units.

    K.
