Hi, I have a Zanussi ZWF1421W which is over 6 years old. Last week it stopped midway through a wash. I was able to drain the water out but nothing else happened. When I select a programme it ‘clicks’ before I’ve even pressed the start button. The drum fills with water followed by all the usual sounds but no movement from the drum. My brother is an electrician and he has checked the machine. Everything is in good order so he thinks it is a problem with the PCB. He did manage to get the machine to do a 30 degree wash but when I tried to select a delicate wash the next day it just filled with water again and nothing else. The machine’s flashing lights indicate Error 52 – no signal from the tachometric generator. Can anyone advise if it would be worthwhile buying replacement parts? If so, which ones? Or, just invest in a new machine if it’s going to be expensive to fix? My last Zanussi lasted 7 years so this machine is approaching the same age. Any advice appreciated!
Thank you.
