hello max, is anything else in the fridge freezing up?
is the temperature in the fridge what you would normally expect?
if so, then you may have an insulation problem in the fridge which would be un repairable.
the drain hole takes away the water which is a product of the defrost cycle which occurs in the fridge many times a day.
it shouldn’t freeze at all, unless you have an insulation fault or a temperature fault.

Poor some hot water carefully down the drain hole and then with a cable tie have a poke around. Could be blocked as you say.
