Problem is power in the house was continually tripping out approx once or twice a day, sometimes more sometimes less. We worked out that it only happened when the spur to the dishwasher was on, even if the dishwasher itself was off.

Have been informed that the probable cause is an earth leakage on the appliance.

Is this the most likely cause ?

How easy could the fault be located ?

Bearing in mind the dishwasher is approx. 5-6 years old, would it be worth trying to repair it?

Any advice/pointers would be gratefully received.

Mains suppressor leaking to earth usually. Disconnect from mains if you are going in.

If you take right hand side off, you will usually see if its the suppressor as it tend to show scorch marks

Took the suppressor off but no signs of any scorching etc, Is it still worth buying a new one or would it definitely be ‘marked’ if it was faulty.

You,really need someone with a megger to test the machine to see where the earth fault is
