The freezer temperature display is flashing, and the freezer is defrosting. The freezer is getting warmer. I couldn’t find any mention of this in a search on this forum, nor can I find mention of it in the instruction manual. I have tried the diagnostic test, and no faults are reported. Can anyone help? My food is de-frosting!
Note that the fridge half of the fridge/freezer is working fine, and that I replaced the evaporator cover and associated parts in the fridge about a year ago, and it has been working fine since then.

I have now done a mains reset, and the freezer temperature indicator has stopped flashing, and is now displaying 4 degrees. I selected “Power Freeze” but clearly the freezer side has stopped working, as there is no change in temperature.
What is the most likely thing to have failed, bearing in mind that the diagnostics show no faults?

I think I’ve cured this now, with a good old-fashioned Samsung cure-all of a complete de-frost. We recently lost all electrical power whilst on holiday, and everything de-frosted for a day or so. When we got back, we restored the power, and everything re-froze. However, I think there was quite a lot of water left inside the freezer, from food which had de-frosted and released water, and when we re-froze everything, the back of the freezer section just iced up.
I’ve now had everything out, cleaned it all, de-frosted thoroughly and dried with a hair-dryer, and that seems to have done the trick. Let’s hope it lasts!

I have exactly the same problem with my rs21. can you tell me if this was a good fix or if you needed further attention. thanks

This is likely to be only a temporary fix!!
You need to search this forum for RS21 problems and you will find that you will have to buy a repair kit (available from eBay sellers)
That does the job!!
