So I may be cursed, my new WVD24520GB came Friday and having tool it for a spin yesterday (excuse the pun), it seems to have a never ending wash cycle.

It counts down to 1 min, but never gets past the wash phase thus doesn’t drain etc. a fifty min wash lasted hours, and I had to make it drain out by changing programme. The water that drained out wasn’t warm but I should’ve only been 30c and had been in there a while.

I am concerned its user failure on my part, but the controls seem straightforward, even for me.

Could it really be knackered so soon?!

Just as the other one was, right into the dedicated drain. It drains instantly when you knock it into the drain programme.

Is the timing of the rinse ok? And the spin? If they are it sounds like the wiring to the wash heater has come adrift. Not the most secure terminals and can come off in transit.

Yeah, the rinse or the spin work fine and complete in 8min or whatever it needs to be. Can the heater terminals be checked easily or am I sitting in for an engineer?

So for those interested, the heating element wasn’t even connected. In fact it still had protective plastic on it.

    Bad form!
