    Hi,

After getting back from our hols, I discovered that our Zanussi WDJ1285 is tripping the circuit breaker every time I try to run a wash, spin or dry programme. The only programme that this doesn’t trip is the drain. Also, I now have the give the door a firmer push/slam in order to get the light on and programme starting. It starts the programme for about 1 sec then trips 🙁

Does anyone have any ideas? Is this DIY repairable or simply dead? (It’s quick an old bird, at least 10 years old.)

Thanks in advance for any replies!!

difficult to know without someone checking it but

2 most likely things are heaters and motor

since this as a washer dryer first thin i would do is
    1 unplug machine
    2 take off lid
3 at the back of the tumble dryer section you will find the heater element connections. make a note where they go and disconnect them. then try machine and see if it trips

if it does not trip then you can tape up these wires and secure them and you have a washer but no tumble dryer

    Dave
