    I am a consumer with a mastercare coverplan for a Frigidare RLE 1096H Fridge/Freezer purchased about 6 years ago from Dixons. As the premium was small. I kept renewing the policy.

    The bottle shelves on the door of this old fridge have now all fallen off. I reported this to the company who handle this for mastercare – Expert Applicance Care Limited in Deeside. The engineer visited within 3 days of the report, but, 3 months later, the parts are STILL out of stock with the supplier.

    Does anyone have any email address for EAC Limited, so I can formally write for a replacement product?

    [I know the parts problem is because its an old machine – but mastercare shouldn’t take the insurance premiums if they risk paying out for replacement machines]

    Expert Appliance Care are part of Iceland, so you shouldn’t have too many problems finding their contact details.

    Please remember some important points here though:

    EAC are agents for Coverplan only and spares being out of stock is beyond their control, your point of contact for compliants is with your insurer not the repair agent directly.

    You chance of gaining a replacement product are zero frankly as the unit is still in theory working, it is merely the bottle shelves which are broken, in many cases these aren’t even covered under the repair policy and you would have had to pay for them, Coverplan though will replace these free of charge.

    I can check availablity of the parts at Frigidaire on Monday if required as I am an agent for them ?

    Thanks Dave, yes can you check on Monday.

    Part numbers are 13/rle1096h/39/13 and 13/rle1099r/27/16.

    I’ll check the Iceland website.

    The door bottle shelves are in stock with ourselves as Frigidaire agents,If you want we can send some out if dave isnt able to get hold of them.

    Thanks Bryan,

    I’ll see what Mastercare/Expert Applicance Care say iro the insurance claim.

    But at least I now know that the parts exist.

    Part number for the door shelves (superseded) 544161 are in stock at Frigidaire.
