whirlpool american fridge freezer

Hi!!..i have a whirlpool american side by side fridge freezer which is 9yrs old..the freezer started defrosting and the front started becoming very hot to touch. we turned it of took front and back grills of and hovered it out as there was lot of dust stuck to front. in the back the fan had stopped working so removed that cleaned it up got it working. both fridge and freezer started working agin but front of fridge has went very hot again..any ideas please??
