I have a tenant who has damaged the glass bit of a Whirlpool Schott Ceran Electric hob (with 4 dials) on the right hand side.. It looks like she has dropped something on it (although she denies it) and it has been damaged by 1cm. Naturally it is sharp to the touch and I need to find out if it is repairable or whether its just the case of replacing the whole hob. She is arguing that this is unreasonable so I now have to find out whether it is repairable. Whirlpool charge £120 for call out and that’s without any work. Personally I doubt it is repairable but I would like confirmation please. The model number is AKM901/NE/04 and the service no. is 141145009016.

No Linda, the only option is a replacement glass which would likely cost more than a new hob.
