Hi,
I bought a replacement element for my Hotpoint EW93G (part no: 6203429) and when trying to fit it I found the original broken part has an extra connection with another element on the hob that the new part does not have. I am not sure if this connection is critical or what to do with the unused cable if I fit it as supplied. Grateful for any advice or guidance as to whether this is a compatible part as advised by the Whitegoods helpline. Thanks ever so much. RR211
