    Hi,

    After suffering for nearly 8 years with the very very shoddy Samsung RS21 it has broken down yet again, Samsung this time are refusing to fix their poor quality fridge any longer so I have to look for a replacement.

    I did read the buying guide but being some 5 years old I guess the models are out of date somewhat. We only have 1 meter wide and no height limit, price is not too much of an issue but dont want to go bonkers! 2.5k would be about my limit & for that it would have to be perfect! Ideally we would have an Ice Maker and water dispenser, two things we use on a daily basis year round but I lived 32 years without one so I am sure I would survive!

    These are what seem okay (not sure about the LG but I really like it!) Seen most of them in the flesh. I would also look at Rangemaster but was not that impressed when I looked at them.

    Beko American Style Fridge Freezer GNEV221APB is a decent enough one at £569

    Thanks Seamy. I had always thought of Beko as low end and ignored them, I will check them out for sure.

    Of your list I would say that Liebherr is the best and TBH Beko is low end.;)

    Look out for local independent retailers in your area, you don’t actually say where you are. 😉

    Also John Lewis are usually very good to deal with.

    Don is our main retail contributor on the boards, hopefully he may be able to give you more advice, I think that Dr Dill may also be a liebherr agent. They will both have more idea on actual specs than I do.

    Like Iadom Liebherr would be my first choice as well 😉


    A good way of finding a good independent retailer is the dealer listing on Retra Out of curiosity whereabouts are you as your IP address suggests you may be in Switzerland.

    Cheers Guys, I posted from my office which goes out to the internet via Germany. I am isn Bexley Kent, we get a lot in John Lewis, always great service but not always the cheapest. I did speak to a good independent I have uesd in the past but his price seemed very high.
    Will check the link out above.
