Advice on Hoover Washer/Dryer Model WDYN856DG-80

Hi Everyone

I apologize firstly if this is a problem which can be solved on another thread but searches returned no topics and trying to navigate the Help & Advice turned up nothing either.

I have the above model of Hoover Washer Dryer and I am now having problems with a wash kicking in.

It started when I put a load in to wash but ten minutes into the cycle it stopped; and not as though the load had finished because when I opened the door the machine hadn’t fully drained.

This happened the same day that I happened to clean the filter of the washer; I happened to read somewhere that this may be a filter issue but I re-checked the filter and it all seems to be fine, i.e. no blockages, still clean, tightened and sealed correctly.

The guy I got this off of said that you can tell what the error code is for the fault by how many times the lock light flashes? Well it is constantly flashing, no breaks at all. The door will not lock to start a cycle. When I held down the start button I got a few flashing lights; the Stain Blaster, Sensitive Care and Drying Selection indicator lights along with the Time Remaining and Egg Timer Symbol on the HUD.

The guy I bought it from also suggested unplugging the machine and plugging it in again, which I have also tried and this also did nothing.

Can anyone please tell me if this is a basic fault which I can fix or do I need spare parts or what?
