ParticipantHi,
Went to this oven the other day, and it intermittently trips the electrics, I have seen a few of these and 9 out of 10 times it is the squire toc at the back, so that’s what I ordered after I tested all the elements and they all test fine. Went back to fit it and turned the oven to the fan assisted setting, and closed the door and it tripped the electrics, so I thought, it must be the fan or fan element, tested them, they test ok, put it back on the same setting, and it works fine. Changed it to another setting and it tripped the electrics, switched the electrics back on put it to the same setting I just had it on and it works fine, 5 or 10 minutes later it trips the electrics. Had a look at the main oven switch and that seems all fine.
Any one seen this before, any help will be much appreciated.
Quintin.

May I just ask, what form of “testing” did you employ at that stage?

I tested all the elements to see if they are open circuit or not, and the setting was on normal oven where both elements is used, but that doesn’t matter. it tripped on any setting I put it on, even just the light, I also checked the bulb and the bulb holder, and that was all fine.
