ParticipantOK, I’ve been here before with my previous dishwasher (see http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/forumsphpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=40632)…
My current dishwasher is a Bisch Classixx SMS40C02GB/01. It is just over 2.5 years old.
A few months ago it showed error code E15. A slight tilt of the dishwasher cleared it and I forgot about it.
Last Monday E15 showed again. Another tilt cleared it (this time with a mental note to check what is happening with it at the weekend). Next day I noticed that the dishes felt cold and were very damp when I got them out. Following day, immediately sfter the cycle had finished I noticed the same and realised that the dishwasher is not heating the water up.
So today (Saturday) I took off the side panel to check the resistance of the heater. This heater unit is different from the one on my previous posts referred to above. There seemed to be a simple plug with two red (presumably live) and one yellow/green (presumably earth) lead going into it. I took this out and checked the resistance across two of the terminals. My meter reads a resistance but the reading keeps increasing.
So my questions are:
[*]Am I measuring the resistance wrong? Do I need to unplug something else to make sure the circuit is open?
[*]Is this connected to the E15 reading in any way? There is a very small amount of water in the base of the dishwasher, but nothing worth noting.
[*]Are Bosch any good these days? This washer has gone bang after only 2.5 years when the previous one lasted a long time despite being used far more heavily.Any help/pointers would be welcomed.
Thanks,

you are looking for a resistance below 75 ohms. if you want to eleminate external influences then disconnect 1 wire.
this is not a fault i have seen on the later machine but on the early ones the programmer, wiring is also poss causes. most of the time it was a bad solder joint in the timer pcb

Hi Rob,
Did you manage to solve this one? I have a heat pump with the same wiring (2 x red + green / yellow) and I’m not sure how to diagnose a heater fault.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Philip
