    Hello,

I have a brand new fridge / freezer that is currently in storage in a garage in not so warm Scotland. It is still in it’s retail packaging and has never been switched on. Is it safe to keep it stored there over the winter period. It can get quite cold up here in Scotland but it will be sheltered in garage.

The coolant or whatever it is called won’t freeze will it?

It will eventually be move indoors for normal use.

    Thanks.

It should be okay so long as it is unused but, I couldn’t 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} guarantee that.

Once you do get it inside leave it a good few hours before switching on or you risk damage from condensation in the electrics.

    K.
