Hoover HNV170

Hi,

Does anyone have a service manual or wiring diagram for a Hoover HNV170-80 type TVM01?

Replaced belt on it and wires came off the front panel while striping it down. Tried to put back on in right places but now it comes on, spins, but no heat.

There is live to the heater element, but no neutral. It is wired oddly: there are two lives to the element, one each end of the coils, which are centre-tapped with a neutral but the odd thing is that there are two separate wires going to the centre tapped point. Each one has a separate female spade connector end, one bare and one plastic encased. I’ve put both on the timer dial connections, which leaves around 4 unused ones, 2 of which must be the actual correct ones.

Can’t understand why there are two neutral wires when they are bonded at the centre tap point. This appliance switches the neutral to turn off the heater element, whilst one live is permanent and the other is switched via the ‘delicates’ button on the front.

There’s also a little PCB with a relay used for switching the neutrals for the entire machine via a relay once the momentary latch ON button is pressed. It too has spare spade connectors which might relate to the heater neutrals…
