    Hi

Trying to locate a fault on my mothers machine and looking for some advice. When I switch the machine on at the plug, the on/off led is steady red and the reduced creases light is steady red but also sometimes flashes, the on/off button will also not switch the machine off. Have cleaned out the filter which was blocked and replaced the pressure switch. When I arrived at the machine the buttons on the control panel looks like someone had been very heavy handed with them and were indented in the panel!!. Called a local repair man out and he said a board needed replaced and quoted a ridiculous price. Any ideas which board I need to change, the main pcb or one behind the controls?

It is very common to see this fault, they are ‘touch’ buttons but most people push them far to hard and as the plastic on these Indesit machines is rather weak they do break.

It could be the rear of the plastic facia that is broken or the tiny switch could have fallen off the front of the facia pcb.

There should be two small switches at the top right hand corner of the pcb.

It does sound as though the main pcb could be OK.

    Hi
Have removed the board and it looks ok. Tried the machine with the board not in contact with the plastic push buttons incase they were interfering! Still the same fault comes up. Any ideas?

Not the safest or most sensible way to test. :rolls:

Light 2 flashing is a pressure switch/main pcb fault.
