BFI620 Dishwasher leaking door fix which worked for me

I just thought I’d post a fix which worked for me.

Summary: I just cleaned everything up and the unit stopped leaking.

Gently remove the main door seal, don’t stretch it. It just pulls out of the retaining steel fitting. Clean it in warm soapy water. Clean the recess where it fits.

Clean the door surround.

Get a rag and use it to GENTLY clean the bottom door seal. There will be a lot of crusty cr@p in there which is not easy to remove; it will take several goes.

Refit the main door seal.

Remove the lower and upper paddles; if they rattle, the objects need to be removed. Tap the paddles against a hard object to dislodge anything. Check that the water outlets are all clear.

Carefully remove the main filter. These are likely to be disgusting, but press on with warm soapy water.

Refit the paddles and filter. The filter needs to be carefully re-assembled so as to get each of the spigots and clips aligned correctly.

I just fired it up again after doing the above and it stopped leaking….. Dunno what bit did the magic, but it’s fine now.
