    My Candy washing machine has been working fine since new.
    When attempting to put it on ‘Spin’ mode, it simply started filling with water and would having continued unless I turned it off at the wall.

    Have drained the machine, checked the filter which was clear.

    Tried the machine again and no matter what setting it is at, the solenoid which allows the mains water to enter turns on and keeps filling the machine. No sign of drum movement.

    SN: 3100 1955 0822 2828.

    Is there a test routine that can be run to see what may be at fault? I haven’t checked motor brushes or anthing else internal yet.

    Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.

    Test routine would not work or even help you with this one. It sounds as though the main circuit board has shorted out. If you remove and check the board for surface component damage I think you’ll spot something black and charred there. 🙁
