Windowshopping for a tabletop dishwasher while I wait for a repairman.
Does anyone have a recommendation? I saw this one, a Hinari DW002, but I’m not that confident of the brand name..

The Hinari is not a brand name and at that price the quality of components used and build quality will not be there. It will probably last for a couple of years. Availability of spares is virtually non existant. This really is a disposable item when it fails to work.
For less than a hundred pound more you could buy a Zanussi DCS12W much better build, quality of performance and a longer life span.
As the saying goes you get what you pay for.
Visit your`e local independant store for the best advice and service.

interesting comments as my 15 month old zanussi has just given up the ghost, i’ve had 2 repair estimates both in the £120-130 price range and i’m now looking at the hinari myself as i’d hope it would last over 12 months and therefore its not going to work out more expensive than having the zanussi repaired (oh, its the timer thats gone by the way)

Have a word with your local Service Force centre http://www.serviceforce.co.uk about the Zanusssi, as it’s only 3 months past the guarantee period, there may be something that can be done to help 😀
There may not, but it’s worth asking 😉
By far the better dishwasher in my opinion.
