I’m not familiar with this make and need advise on where to start. All functions are working except spin, but the motor is running during spin. What is the possible cause and is it likely to be financially viable? The machine is 8 years old. Any help much appreciated.

I havent stripped anything to find out.I’m looking on http://www.partadvantage.com at a transmission diagram.Do you know what part reference to look for? Bear in mind the wash agitation is normal.

    Check the pulley/cam assembly (pt 3 & 4).
The motor reverses to go into spin and the cam rides up the shaft and releases the brake letting the drum spin.
If the brake is not released the motor runs and slips the belt.
If you turn the pulley by hand you should feel it release the brake and start to turn the drum
