Aeg oko_favorit 54750vi start trouble

I cannot get a program to start on my aeg oko_favorit 54750vi. After turning on the machine with the leftmost button, I am unable to start a program. Pressing one of the five program buttons on the right results in a single beep, but that’s it. The light above the button doesn’t turn on, and upon closing the dishwasher the program doesn’t start. The only light that’s on is the power indicator. I am however able to start a short (~10min) program (washing, drying etc). By powering on the machine with the right- and left-most program button pushed in. Anyone know how I can resolve this issue?
