    Hi,

I have a 4-year old CDA FW320 integrated under-counter fridge that has just started over-cooling. Even with the dial set at 1, liquids and food are freezing.

I switched off for a while, cleaned out the drain at the rear (although it did seem to be clear), took the plastic covers off the lower front and vacuumed around the fan, and restarted. This did seem to clear the problem for a day or so, but now it’s back to where it was. The door seals seem OK.

I’ll pull the fridge out from under as soon as I get time – but is it likely to be the thermostat? Or could it be dust build-up at the rear?

If it is likely to be the stat, how easy is it to test/replace?

    Many thanks,
    Stan

    HI,

I have exactly the same problem, although the fridge is probably 9 years old now.

Did you find out what the problem was?

    Hi Gary,

From memory, I cleared all the dust from underneath and it was fine then and has been since. I know I didn’t need to replace the stat.

Only other problem I had was the door hinges needed replacing the year after, when it was 5 years old. They’re not cheap – about £50 the pair!

    Good luck!
    Stan
