KeymasterDavid and Castle Electrics highlighted this to me today, I didn’t know about it…

So, yet another additive that we’ve all managed without for decades that, all of a sudden, you need to stop your baby from melting or something. 😕
But, it gets still worse…

Aside from all the scary doom and gloom stuff there’s no mention of actually doing the laundry correctly, merely that this new additive is required. Like that’s going to magically solve all ills.
But what really cracked me up and, I have to admit got me a bit angry, was that she says that washing at higher temperatures isn’t environmentally friendly but then almost immediately says that adding additional “stuff” into the wash is. You have to ask, what’s it made from, fairy dust or something else that doesn’t produce a drop of environmental impact?
No doubt though a bunch of the less well informed out there will buy it and think that it’ll solve all their woes with the wash. When it doesn’t or it causes harm, it’ll no doubt be the washing machine’s fault or the manufacturer has a design problem making the machine not fit for purpose. :rolls:
Moi, cynical? 😉

We can only wish it causes over foaming, blackened door boots and bleached washing issues a-plenty. Buy two bottles and get a packet of Color Catchers FREE..!
Bring it on!

Ken’s right, when the bacteria are killed off (good and bad), mould will take over, so black door seals will be inevitable.
We added an anti-bacterial “mouth wash” (as recommended by our vet) to our cats’ water fountain and after a only a few days we noticed the cats weren’t drinking from it any more. On dismantling we found the fountain had been completely taken over by black mould.

I’ve never seen such a load of tosh.
Talk about scare-mongering.
“High traces” of bacteria. That’s a contradiction in terms. You can have high levels, low levels, very low levels or traces. If “Pixie” is really a GP she should be sacked.
There are ten times as many bacterial cells in each of our bodies as there are human cells. Get rid of 99.9{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of them from your environment and you’ll be dead in no time.
This is aimed at stupid people with more money than sense.
Like the way the woman pours the stuff in liberally in the first video. So the few pence saved in energy by low temperature washing will have to be spent ten-fold on production of bottles of this biocide.
The sad thing is they’ve probably already done the market research and know there’s enough of a market for this and will make a financial killing bigger than the bacterial one out of it. They’re morally not much above arms dealers.

Me thinks it was sponsored by Dettol, obviously there’s no strong ground for getting people to buy their products. Dettol are good for cleaning the floor that was previously soiled by my dog.
We all know that low temperature washing causes endless problems, it will not be the end of it as it will get worse. What next? Ultra violet kit fitted to the washing machine to kill off the germs?

I think it’s already patent, just that no-one haven’t taken the step to apply it to washing machines and dishwashers. Think of all the energy and water saving could be had.
Looks like we were beaten to it!
http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kaion … ng-machineSomething a little bit affordable but for gullible people

Just a glimpse on what they could do but only this happens in USA where there are a lot of gullible people there.
