Half way through cycle the house power circuit blew. By elimination it was caused by dishwasher. Problem might have started by spoon falling and preventing lower blade to rotate. I opened the door, removed the spoon and shut the door. I turned the mains power back on but it tripped again. I opened the door and then turned on the mains power, the rinse light was lit; I shut the door and the power tripped. I opened the door, turned on the power, the rinse light was still on so I pressed the END button and all dishwasher lights went out;I shut the door and the power stayed on. Changing the 13amp fuse in the plug made no difference. The Baumatic User Instructions do not cover this situation. Can anyone identify the problem?
Without opening it up and diagnosing the reason for it to happen, no.
It could be a blown mains filter, capacitor, mains switch, water in the base, a pump fault, door switch…. there’s any number of things that could cause it.
Thanks. I called Baumatics but company currently in administration. I called out a local engineer. He saw the standing water inside the dishwater, shut the door which caused the electrics to trip, and said it was likely to be the washer motor and so not worth cost of part and repair. Does this seem sound advice?
