ParticipantHi guys, replaced the bearings on our PE235 yesturday all went fairly well. Tried a test wash and now not working.
Press the on off switch and the red light comes on for a couple of seconds and water feeds in, light goes out and then nothing.
My question is
Should the light stay on through whole cycle ( we can’t remember )
Is this a door interlock switch problem . Have checked all wiring and tried connectors on all various ways.
Your guidence in this would be much appreciated.
Kind regards

If it worked OK before you stripped it down to replace the bearings then it has to be a wire off or wiring problem of some kind and NOT a component failure. But what exactly do you mean by “tried various connectors on all various way.” anyway. 🙁

Hi Martin. Thanks for your interest.
The door interlock switch wiring was the only bit that I was not sure if I connected up correctly so obviously when the machine failed to work I went straight to it and tried the 3 wires on different contacts. All other wires are on and secure.

There’s a good chance of blowing a triac on the main PCB by doing that. Your next move = inspect the PCB for blown components. 🙁

Got it working with the wires now on correctly.
Machine now fills and rotates but does not go through the wash cycle, lots of clicks but no movement from dial.
When first attempt the dial went round one complete revolution on its own at a constant speed very spookyAny ideas Martin.

Yes the bad news is that the time selector motor is obviously faulty. The good news is they are cheap and easy to replace. 😀
