I have a Miele G606 SC Plus slimline dishwasher, 5+ years old. Just lately it hasn’t been washing thoroughly. I’ve cleaned all spray arms and filters and the last suggestion to try is make sure non return valve isn’t blocked but the locking clamp on mine differs from illustration in book and doesn’t lift up and away as it shows in the manual – the bar seems to be held between two plastic nibs and I’m a bit unsure of forcing it in case I break off one of them. Has anyone ever removed one on this model successfully? Thanks.

Yes, is’nt there a lock spring across the top of the cover of non return valve? It just needs taking off & access is granted.

Can you post a picture of it on here & someone will help you get it off.

Yes Seamy but it’s the lock clamp that I can’t seem to shift. It’s the plastic nib to the left of the clamp that’s preventing the clamp from sliding off the valve and there’s no room to lift it clear.

Me being feeble! Other half got it off with no trouble so that bit sorted. Not grungy though so still not sure why it’s not cleaning properly. If I have to re-wash any more cups ……………

Maybe theres a blockage in the wash pump impellor causing poor water pressure during washing.
