Could someone please confirm the part no for the door seal for this WM?
I was informed that it was C00262267 for the (UK) R version.(Part no C00111416 in a former life). I tried to fit that yesterday and it’s not correct. The lip is too big and the drum cannot turn due to the excess lip size.
The other part no is C00144134. I’m led to believe that there is only two. Could some one please confirm this is correct before I have another door seal to add to my ever growing spares? 😀

C00262267 is listed as the correct door seal for that model, no mention of C00111416 anywhere??

Thanks Jim. That’s two sources said the same thing. However, it’s definately doesn’t fit and the inner lip is different. Time for a cuppa and I’ll look at it again first thing. Thanks again.

that is the correct supersession, however it also lists C00143605 as a replacement for certain models….but not the one you have. Maybe the tub has been changed during its life? just a suggestion.

I’ve got no choice but to try C00144134. A tub change or incorrect Partfinder, I don’t know. If I get chance I’ll get to it today.
Thanks for the replies.

The R in the model signifies it was made abroad the C00143605 seal will only fit the UK made machines easiest way to identify is check the drum lifters uk if old hotpoint lifters and not the crappy indesit ones which are made abroad.

Thanks for the replies guys.
C00144134 does not fit as the diameter is too large. End of story.
Back to C00262267/C0011416 looks the closest. However, on further inspection, there are additional ridges which push the seal out making the lip thicker. The original is smooth and thinnner. I’m pushed for time at this moment but will upload a picture later.
I remember having similar problems with a door for a Hotp machine that had “C” in it’s model no. I think someone said this was made in China. Had two different doors direct from Hotpoint-even they didn’t quite get it right first time. What hope have we?

Found time to sort the picture. As you can see there’s a noticeable difference in the lip width. The newer one also has these ridges that also push the lip out further.
Don’t really know what to try next? I’ve double checked the seal was fitted correctly. I’ve checked the drum to make sure it’s still circular and not slightly out of shape. More difficult to tell, but the tub port hole seems fine as well.
The label on the bag the seal came in had a Hotpoint label C0011416 but then had a suppliers label of C00262267.Confused, I am, hacked off and spent too much time on this already as well as being way out of pocket 😡
