    Hi, hope someone can help!
The machine keeps filling with water even though the power is off.
Once its turned on it can be drained and it runs a spin cycle but it wont run a wash cycle.
Because it keeps filling with water, we have turned the water supply off.
Any suggestions to what could be wrong?

If you can see the water entering through the soap drawer, then you have a faulty water inlet valve… If its not entering through there ,then you need to check your waste outlet has not slipped or moved from its usual position and is siphoning back in to the machine from there…

I had a bit of time today to get a look at the machine and although i don’t know much about them, i went through the basics that might have been causing the problem.
The water didn’t start to fill the machine like it had done before when i turned the water supply valve back on.
1 thing that id read was how to do a diagnostic check and when i tried that, there didn’t seem to be any error code.
The start/pause light and the end light just kept flashing and beeping simultaneously and i stopped it after 30 beeps and flashes.
When i was doing the reset, i moved the cycle select control to O, turned it to the spin icon which is next to the O and as i was about to turn it back to the O there was a sound of water filling the powder drawer.
I pulled it open to have a look and the water was going into it like it normally would on a wash cycle.
I let it the machine carry on with what appeared to be some kind of test cycle before switching the control to O and trying a proper cycle but once again the machine wouldn’t run 1.
I disconnected the u-bend under the sink and the connecting pipes to clean them and although there was a lot of built up sludge, which i cleaned out the pipes, the machine still acted the same way once it was turned back on.
It was about 3 years ago that i replaced the brushes on it so i wondered if they were the problem again but it had been doing some kind of cycle when in the diagnostic mode so that didn’t seem to be the case.
The only other thing that i knew was to check the big rubber tube that leads from the drum and…..although i didn’t find as much cash as the last time, i did find a couple of quid and 2 quarters of a bank card.
When i connected the hose back up and tried the machine it worked so it looks like its whats been stuck in that hose thats caused the machine to play up.
Thanks anyway for trying to help Muv.
Fingers crossed it will be ok for a while now!
