Any help on this appreciated as I’ve no real experience on refrigeration but occasionally get them in my new rol as an employed bod 🙁

Customer complaining of freezer leaking overnight on the right hand side. Every morning she comes in to a teacup sized puddle.

I’ve had a quick look and there is a frozen trail of ice from the rhs of the back panel( which seemed to be frozen solid on that side so couldn’t get it off). I’ve downloaded the wiring diagrams from connect (helpful 😀 ) but was wondering where the connections to the components are for testing, in the control box, behind the unit itself or within the back panel.

Apart from this she is sure the unit is behaving itself temperature wise.

Any common things I should look out for or is it a suck it n see scenario with it in bits and test it all.

Sorry to sound like a novice but I unfortunately now being employed I can’t be choosy about my calls 🙁

    Regards

    Tony

    Hi Tony

Frigidaire had a problem with the drain and evaporator not defrosting as they used one heater to do both jobs, They then changed it to 2 separate heaters one for the defrost one for the drain. How many heaters did it have ?

I have the heater kits in stock.

Also move the defrost sensor to the very top centre of the evaperator to increase the defrost time.
