Proline M2020 microwave display faded out

The digital display on this microwave has faded and is very hard to read. Can it be replaced? If so where can I get the part? I know it is ancient (25yrs old) but my mother is 83 and has early dementia, she uses it every day and would find it almost impossible to adapt to another model due to her condition. Hence I’d like to repair it if I can, even if it’s not really a cost effective thing to do. It works perfectly in every other way. I know this is a long shot but I hope someone can help.
