I have a Hoover Nextra that refuses to collect the conditioner from the drawer. Has anyone else heard of this?
I’ve had an engineer attend when it wasn’t collecting the power or conditioner and he informed me that I was using too much of both ? hmm suspicious as I wasn’t hitting the max fill line with the conditioner. (I refer to me, but my wife is the main operator!!)
. So I reduce the powder and conditioner and well yes the powder goes through but the conditioner doesn’t.
the area under the drawer often gets coated with powder which I have to clean regularly.
Is this a design fault or is there something else to consider ?
    thanks

Sounds very much like low water pressure to me causing insufficient flow. May I ask, with the drawer pulled out, if you were to fill the fabric conditioner compartment with a glass or two of water, would it drain away completely???

I have a Nextra HNF3167 washing machine. On this one the little syphon tube for the fabric conditioner doesn’t seem to empty properly so when the conditioner is put in for the next wash it dribbles through into the wash water rather than wait for the rinse cycle. The machine is now nearly three weeks old. Hoover calling next week.

My first post. Please complain if it is wrong!

Not at all Goose, thanks for the contact 😀

I expect the dispenser operating lever will need very slight adjustment and the Hoover engineer will sort it for you no doubt 🙂

Just out of curiosity though, could I ask you let me have the ‘Product Code Number’ it’s 8 digits long usually begins with 3???????

    Thanks for the answer.

The machine is HNF3167-80 code 31000604

    Where is the operating lever?

It’s located on the top of the Dispenser Housing and is adjustable (But only for an engineer to mess with, so leave it for the GIAS man to sort 😉 )

    Re: Hoover Nextra HNL2126

The GIAS man arrived to see the HNF3167.

He accepted that the fabric conditioner dispenser didn’t work properly and ‘phoned a friend. He then removed a millimeter or so from the bottom of the little plastic syphon tube and lifted the front of the machine a bit by adjusting the front feet. This seemed to fix things except that now it won’t accept the full advertised amount of fabric conditioner but that doesn’t matter.

The next question concerns spin speed. It doesn’t seem to spin well. It is after all a 1600 spin speed machine. The moisture content after spin (per cent dry load) is given in the Hoover leaflet as 44 per cent which I don’t really understand. Is there a description of this term? Can I prove how well the spin works by weighing washing that has been spun and then tumbled dried?

I have drifted away from HNL2126. Should a new thread be started?

    Thanks

    Francis,

I’m surprised you are dissappointed in its spin performance as 1600 rpm is a heck of a spin speed after all. The 44{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} bit means simply that at full spin speed it is capable of extracting water from the fabric to such an extent that on completion of the spin cyle it will weigh just 44{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} more than its dry weight 😯

So next time you wash say, your towels, weigh them (dry) before you put them in and on completion weigh them again and they should be no more than 44{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} heavier 😕 A good set of scales and pocket calculator are a must for this to work of course. 😀

P.S I have altered the heading of the thread to include your HNF3167 😉

Hi I have a Hoover Nextra HNL 2126 washing machine. The machine when turned onto a normal 40 wash will not allow any water into the machine, it will go through the wash process but without water or spin?? If you put it onto a rinse cycle it will release one lot of water on a rinse cycle but will not spin – can anyone help please?
    Thank you
