Hotpoint wmf760 stuck on cycle

I have an aquaruius WMF760 washing machine. I tried to put the washing machine on just a spin cycle yesterday, nothing happened. I then tried to put it on an ordinary wash cycle. The minutes just counted down, but was not filling with water or making any noise or doing anything. H20 briefly flashed up. I tried pausing the machine and you were still able to open the door.I cannot change the cycle onto any other programme. It worked fine in the mornning. I have tried turning the power off to it. When it is turned back on the same cycle is till on there. It is not on a delay programme.
