    Hi,

We have a Siemens Tumble Dryer – model WT46E389GB/15.

The wife likes to make use of the ‘Low Heat’ option but recently it has proved to be unavailable (the option that is, NOT the wife!). Pressing the button simply results in the machine beeping twice and refusing to select it.

The dryer is otherwise working fine. But our increased environmental impact is causing me sleepless nights. 😉

Does anyone have any ideas what might be the cause?

I’m loathe to get a man out if it is an easy fix. I reckon I could replace the thermostat and / or the element if that was thought to be the cause.

Help would be appreciated. Reward available – though admittedly only in the next life. 😀

    Thanks,

    Chris – Leeds

I assume you’re pressing the half heat button before you press the start button ?

…..and I don’t think that low heat is an option on the 3 ‘easy care’ cycles as they’re low heat anyway.

I’ve got the same machine and you can select low heat on all settings. Seems a bit strange on the easy care options though
