Ref Hotpoint FDF780 Dishwasher Error code A8 heat phase timeout I have checked the heater element it reads ok for resistance. Where are the thermistors in the machine.
Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

There is only one, it can sometimes come loose but that is not common on this model. If there is no sign of heat in the water then if the heater is OK the pcb is the most likely source of the problem as long as the wiring from the heater to the pcb is sound, that should give A10 though. The thermistor is hard wired to the pcb in any event. 🙁

Hi iadom , This answer helps a lot. I have the Element/Motor out of my fdf780p the element seems ok with 31.8ohms which is whats stated in other sites i have been searching for spares etc. I have the same error a08 it was hot / warm the 1st time this error displayed but today it wont even start. I understand when you say it may be the pcb but where is the thermistor actually located. for checking just in… looking at the machine its not that obvious. 😥
Cheers in advance for any help

It is hard wired to the pcb and clips onto the sump.
